The doctors at the Carlingford Epping Surgery have a variety of special interests. We pride ourselves on providing excellent medical care to our patients. Below is a list of doctors and staff currently practicing at our Carlingford and Epping sites.

Practitioners:

Dr. Michael Serafim

This Carlingford Epping Surgery is the first practice I have worked in since leaving University. I have always enjoyed the challenge of taking care of my patients and the responsibility that involves.

I have interests in all human ailments but particularly paediatrics, geriatrics, lung conditions, wounds, skin pathology, women’s health, mens health, and mental health issues.

Dr. Colin Gunter

I have worked in the area for over 30 years and enjoy the diversity & challenges that General Practice brings. My particular interests are medical education and teaching students and registrars also Paediatrics and antenatal shared care with Ryde and Hornsby Hospitals. Outside of medicine I enjoy family life, music and classic cars.

Dr. Michael Moor

I have been with this practice for over 30 years. I have an interest in aged care and orthopaedics. When not working I enjoy my garden and travelling. I have recently discovered the enjoyment of cruising.

Dr. David Boyce

I identify as a middle-aged, male General Practitioner.I have spent some time as a Rehab Registrar in the nineties and maintain a sneaking regard for rehab as a results of this I have been fascinated with World War 11 fighter aircraft since the age of 9, I enjoy playing with computers and synthesisers at home and own a psychotic kitten called Scout.

Dr. Barbara Zochowski

I have been with the practice for over 15 years. My special interests are in Paediatrics, Geriatric Medicine and Womens Health. Outside of work I love travelling and cooking for family and friends.

Dr. Ann Walz

I am a Fellow of the RACGP and a graduate of the University of Sydney. Prior to working at the Practice I have worked at various practices, including the Blue Mountains, Eastern Suburbs and Western Sydney. I am interested in paediatrics and women health. I also enjoy walking and playing lots of netball.

 

 

 

Dr. Ellen Paton

Ellen is a GP registrar and graduated from the University of Notre Dame after first completing a degree in Medical Science with Honours at the University of NSW. She has a background in cancer research, in particular breast and ovarian, and has published papers in this field. 

Special Interest: Cancer screening programs, as well as paediatric medicine and women’s health. 

Personal Interest: Outside of work Ellen enjoy chasing after her toddler and good Italian food. 

Dr. Aaron Tso

Aaron is a GP registrar and completed his medical degree at University of Queensland after first completing a degree in Medical Science with Honours at the University of Sydney. He spent a few years working as a resident around South-East Queensland before deciding to come home to Sydney and pursue GP training. He is relatively fluent in Cantonese and eager to continue improving his Mandarin.

Special interest: He has special interest in paediatrics, lifestyle/preventative medicine and mental health

Personal Interest: Enjoys playing with his infant son, board games, martial arts, motorcycles, and bushwalks.

Dr. Michael Ardern

Michael is a GP registrar in his fourth term of GP training having completed his medical degree at the Australian National University in Canberra. He has worked in Western Sydney, the Blue Mountains, and Canberra with a prior background of research into malaria at the University of Sydney. Michael’s medical interests include paediatrics, men’s health and preventative medicine. His personal interests include being jogging, cycling and until recently travelling.

Dr. Penelope De Lacavalerie

Dr De Lacavalerie has specialised training in Colorectal Surgery and Robotic Surgery and is happy to treat all General Surgery conditions, but has a particular interest in the screening and minimally invasive treatment of Bowel diverticular disease, cancer and hernia repair, the multidisciplinary assessment and management of Obstetric anal sphincter injuries at her Sydney OASI specialist clinic and the management of HPV related anal Dysplasia and anal cancer

She works at multiple Private Hospitals in Sydney, including Sydney Adventist Hospital, Prince of Wales Private, Hurstville and Strathfield Private

Penelope prides herself on her ability to empathise with her patients and in been available through their surgical journey. She is happy to be contacted directly by general practitioners and other specialists. She strongly believes in Integrative care where her patients and their families are at the mainstay of it all

Erika Hung – Dietician

Erika is a qualified Accredited Practicing Dietitian who is passionate about empowering her patients to make their health goals a reality. She is dedicated to working with her patients, taking the time to understand their individual lifestyles and creating small achievable health behaviour changes that they can sustain lifelong.

 

Cathy Yu – Psychologist

Cathy is an empathic therapist with a vision to empower and support her clients to live a fulfilled life. She has a passion in stress management and adjustment issues at different stages of life.
Cathy is a Member of the APS (Australian Psychological Society). She can provide services under Medicare, NDIS and WorkCover (SIRA).

Daniel Sit – Physiotherapist

Daniel studied his Masters in Physiotherapy degree from The University of Sydney. He has been working in practice for over 6 years and has extensive experience in treating a range of acute and chronic injuries whether it be from sports, work or car accidents. Daniel loves his soccer and this has led him to work with a number of different local teams including Mount Druitt Rangers.

Daniel has worked with a number of professional athletes ranging from national level sprinters, NRL players, soccer players and basketball players and has considerable experience in guiding athletes through their rehabilitation programs. He has a wide range of post-graduate training including Dry Needling, Mulligan Mobilisations, McKenzie Therapy, Muscle Energy Techniques, and Watson’s Headache techniques. Daniel is passionate in helping his patients achieve their goals by providing evidence based and tailored treatment plans that address the root cause of their problems.

Jade Khoury – Podiatrist

Jade comes to Podiatry from a background of martial arts, dancing and resistance training and is a purposeful podiatrist, with in-depth knowledge across all areas of podiatry.

Special interests: women’s Health, Holistic Health, Sports and Musculoskeletal Medicine.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine (University of Western Sydney)
