The doctors at the Carlingford Epping Surgery have a variety of special interests. We pride ourselves on providing excellent medical care to our patients. Below is a list of doctors and staff currently practicing at our Carlingford and Epping sites.


Dr. Michael Serafim

This Carlingford Epping Surgery is the first practice I have worked in since leaving University. I have always enjoyed the challenge of taking care of my patients and the responsibility that involves.

I have interests in all human ailments but particularly paediatrics, geriatrics, lung conditions, wounds, skin pathology, women’s health, mens health, and mental health issues.

Dr. Colin Gunter

I have worked in the area for over 30 years and enjoy the diversity & challenges that General Practice brings. My particular interests are medical education and teaching students and registrars also Paediatrics and antenatal shared care with Ryde and Hornsby Hospitals. Outside of medicine I enjoy family life, music and classic cars.

Dr. Sue Beutum

I completed GP training in 1985, then received the AMAC prize for academic excellence in Acupuncture in 1997. Enjoying every aspect of Western General Practice, I use acupuncture as an adjunct for many conditions including musculoskeletal problems.

Dr. Michael Moor

I have been with this practice for over 30 years. I have an interest in aged care and orthopaedics. When not working I enjoy my garden and travelling. I have recently discovered the enjoyment of cruising.

Dr. David Boyce

I identify as a middle-aged, male General Practitioner.I have spent some time as a Rehab Registrar in the nineties and maintain a sneaking regard for rehab as a results of this I have been fascinated with World War 11 fighter aircraft since the age of 9, I enjoy playing with computers and synthesisers at home and own a psychotic kitten called Scout.

Dr. Barbara Zochowski

I have been with the practice for over 15 years. My special interests are in Paediatrics, Geriatric Medicine and Womens Health. Outside of work I love travelling and cooking for family and friends.

Dr. Ann Walz

I am a Fellow of the RACGP and a graduate of the University of Sydney. Prior to working at the Practice I have worked at various practices, including the Blue Mountains, Eastern Suburbs and Western Sydney. I am interested in paediatrics and women health. I also enjoy walking and playing lots of netball.




Dr. Ellen Paton

Ellen is a GP registrar and graduated from the University of Notre Dame after first completing a degree in Medical Science with Honours at the University of NSW. She has a background in cancer research, in particular breast and ovarian, and has published papers in this field. 

Special Interest: Cancer screening programs, as well as paediatric medicine and women’s health. 

Personal Interest: Outside of work Ellen enjoy chasing after her toddler and good Italian food. 


Dr. Nicholas Moor

Dr Nicholas Moor completed his medical degree at the University of Newcastle. He subsequently completed a Master of Public Health at Griffith University. Fluent in German, he is an active member of the community and enjoys volunteering with St John Ambulance.

Special Interest: He has a particular interest in preventative medicine, dermatology and travel medicine.


Dr. Nathan Leung

Nathan is a GP registrar approaching the end of his training, having finished both his written and clinical exams. He has had extensive GP training through Sydney, including in the north shore, blue mountains, Mt Druitt, as well as a rural rotation in Tamworth. 

Special interest: is in paediatrics and skin procedures, and Nathan prides himself in educating patients and involving them in collaborative care. 

Personal Interest: Recently, he has been foraging into COVID baking, in particular the mastering of Japanese cheesecakes.

Erika Hung – Dietician

Erika is a qualified Accredited Practicing Dietitian who is passionate about empowering her patients to make their health goals a reality. She is dedicated to working with her patients, taking the time to understand their individual lifestyles and creating small achievable health behaviour changes that they can sustain lifelong.


Dr Praka Sundaralingam

MBBS, MMed (Clin Epi), FRACP

Dr Praka Sundaralingam completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of NSW and went on to complete a masters in medicine in clinical epidemiology at the University of Sydney. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr Sundaralingam brings a high level of expertise in pancreato-biliary disease as well as general gastroenterology skills to Port Macquarie Gastroenterology.

Cathy Yu – Psychologist

Cathy is an empathic therapist with a vision to empower and support her clients to live a fulfilled life. She has a passion in stress management and adjustment issues at different stages of life.
Cathy is a Member of the APS (Australian Psychological Society). She can provide services under Medicare, NDIS and WorkCover (SIRA).

Naim Bireroglu – Podiatrist

Naim has completed a Bachelor of Health Science/Mastering in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Western Sydney. His experience covers all scopes of podiatric care including bio-mechanical, chronic disease, pediatric and general podiatry. He has worked in many different settings including mobile podiatry, high risk in public hospital setting both local and internationally as well as having extensive private practice podiatry experience. His love of sports (including basketball and power-lifting amongst many other sports) has also fueled his interest in sports bio-mechanics in which is his most experienced scope of practice.
Special Interests – Sports biomechanics and Chronic Disease Management
Personal Interests – Outside of work, Naim enjoys playing basketball, powerlifting and traveling
